DSWA started as a one-person firm back in 1987.  Mr. Williams enjoyed the advantage of the generous preference and equity programs of many clients, which enabled the firm to grow.  DBE and MBE certification opened many doors to DSWA and enabled the firm to gain valuable, resume-building project experience, and also extremely useful client relationships. 

DSWA teamed with many larger firms which helped to set a high standard of performance excellence for DSWA, while also provided valuable mentoring sponsorships.   At the present stage in DSWA’s 20-year growth, the firm has graduated from most preference programs.  It now finds itself in a mentoring role for other smaller, start-up firms wishing to grow larger. 

DSWA is now a 50+ person firm with four offices across the western United States.
